Home Made Health Mix for Baby


Hi Friends, Today I am going to share my experience with making home made health mix for my baby.
As a mother I always wanted to give my baby
1>    The best food which support my baby’s growth
2>    Easy to prepare
3>    Filled baby’s stomach for little longer.
4>    I can carry the food while travelling.
5>    Must provide nutrients which is enough for baby.
6>    Easy for baby to swallow the food.
7>    Baby must like it.
I was searching all over how to find such food, even though market has plentiful of choices which claims lot of benefits I was searching something special and can be home made.
I found one solution called home made cerelac the credit goes to [mylittlemoppet.com]. The information available on this website was helpful and easy to read.
Without wasting anytime decided to prepare the solution at home.
I ordered all the ingredients from online grocery store [bigbasket.com and goingnuts.in]
Items which I got for this preparation
·                  1.5 cup White/Brown Rice
·                  1 cup Black Urad Dal
·                  1 cup Green Gram
·                  1 cup Roasted Gram
·                  1 cup Moong Dal
·                  1 cup Masoor dal
·                  1 cup Wheat Dalia
·                  1/2 cup Sago
·                  1/2 cup Horse gram
·                  1/2 cup Corn
·                  1/2 cup Almonds
·                  1/2 cup Cashew
·                  10 pods Elachi
After getting all the ingredients I washed them with clean water and left it for 2HRs to dry.
Roasted all the ingredients carefully with low heated pan.



All the ingredients become crispy now it is time to make the powder using mixer grinder.


I used sieve to separate the finer powder from grounded flour. Repeated the process until all the ingredients grounded. 







It is real life exam time preparing the health mix

  • Used 2 tablespoon of powder with one cup of water and mixed well and then cooked it for 8Min with low heat. 




You can add milk as well in the preparations.
You can also add few fruits based on baby’s liking. [apple, banana, pears, avocado ]
Please note I gave this food when my baby grown to 9 months old. You can consult your Paediatrician before feeding it to your baby.
I was very happy to see my baby enjoying the health mix.
